Ever since I started asking myself this question How much Calories do I need, I found myself eating more sensibly.
I no longer eat more of the same food again and again.
I eat a balanced meal that can supply my body with all the essential nutrition that my body needs.
This also made me aware of many varieties of fruits, vegetables and nuts that I was not eating otherwise.
This is a result of a combination of two points how many calories do I need and what kind of food should I eat.
The answer is to eat as many calories as I need to keep good health and body weight.
What kind of food to eat is high protein and low fat, sugar and salt.
How helpful is it to find out How much Calories do I need?
It has always been helpful for me to look into How much Calories do I need and how much calories do each of the food that I eat contain.
This enhanced my awareness of food and health and how eating various types of food affects my health.
I also learnt that food is more nutritious when you steam or sauté it rather than deep fry. Deep fried food is high in fat and makes you gain weight and you would have higher cholesterol levels which is bad for you.
How do I lose or gain weight?
When I eat more calories than I need, the excess calories get converted into fat and stored in my body. This makes me gain weight.
This is not a favourable situation.
When I eat fewer calories than I need, I end up feeling weak and hungry. When this happens, my body burns some fat into energy to meet the additional energy requirements. This makes me lose weight.
